EMILIA LAURIE'S PHILOSOPHY

ABOUT EMILIA

“The most important part of any successful project is building a trusted relationship with a Client.  Often Clients are making decisions that require a big leap of faith and it is essential that they feel confident and that I have their back.

Listening to my clients, asking questions about how they live and gaining an understanding of what is really important to them is the starting point of any project. I believe that an interior designer should facilitate and enhance the client’s tastes but not dominate them. I am designing the best house for you, not me.

Every stage of a project involves many, many choices.  A change in one area can have a knock on effect on other areas of a job, changes which need to be briefed as they happen to everyone involved.  On your own, it can feel overwhelming and stressful. So one of my most important roles is to completely support you in whatever way you need it and to help remove the stresses of a project from you.

My goal at the end of any project is to feel we have achieved a great result for you both in terms of the interior design and your experience.  I’d hope that you have enjoyed working together and that you are thrilled with the outcome.”
